Baked Pasta with Mascarpone Cream

Ingredients
  

  • 1 batch classsic tomato sauce or jarred sauce about 4 cups-more if you like it saucy
  • 1 8 ounce container mascarpone cheese at room temperature
  • 1 8 ouce package mixed Italian shredded cheese 4 cheese or 5 cheese blend
  • 1 pound penne pasta
  • salt & pepper

Instructions
 

  • Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees.
  • Cook your pasta according to package directions. Cook about a minute or two less than directions call for. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large sauce pot warm the tomato sauce over medium heat.
  • Drop the heat to low and slowly add the mascapone cheese.
  • Continue to melt the cheese until it is pinkish in color.
  • Pour your cooked pasta into a large baking dish. Pour the sauce over top of the pasta. Mix together.
  • Add the packaged cheese mix and mix it into the pasta.
  • Bake about 20 minutes or until cheesy and golden brown.
  • Serve!
